Okay….. I registered…. now what do I do?

The first thing you should do is check your email.  You will not be able to come back and post without clicking on the link and returning to the site.  Then, you can log in with your username and password.

Where’s MY stuff?

Once you log in, you’ll actually see a “My Account” on the Dark Menu at the very top of the site!  This will be your PROFILE information.  It will show your activity, groups you have joined, friends, settings, and anything doing with your posts here.  REMEMBER: EVERYTHING IS PUBLIC except for your email.  As long as you send messages back and forth just on the site here, your email will not be seen by the sender.  If someone messages you here and you  are notified per email, be sure to come back HERE to respond instead of “reply”ing on your email if you want to keep your email out of the equation.

How do I find people posting animals near me?

We have just set up posting at the main site by STATE.  You will be able to see “PET LISTINGS BY STATE” on the main menu.  If someone has posted a pet on his activity instead which will NOT show up on the main menu,  you can do a search under MEMBERS with a state, it will return results with members listed with that state. If you visit a member’s profile and click on their FAVORITES, you may find some interesting posts to put on your own profile by clicking FAVORITE yourself!  You can also send them a FRIEND REQUEST if you wish to see their activity from your own profile.

Where are my friends’ activities?

Click on ACTIVITY, and you’ll see “ALL MEMBERS” and “FRIENDS”.  Click on FRIENDS and you’ll see your village of friends in action!  If you want to see a particular friend’s favorites or mentions, or to post to their wall directly, go to their profile by clicking on their username.

What can I post?

Photos, explanations, rescue attempts, shelter information, etc in the act of trying to save lives of animals in need.  It is so important to make contacts between rescuers and the public in hopes that working together, we can find some homes for those without.

What CAN’T I post?

This is a PET RELATED SITE and is not for your family pictures that you want to share with long lost cousins or stuff you want saved.  All posts are revolving and will be erased on a timely chain due to space for posts.  Please do not put business information on activity or items for sale, or surf for new clients (ie. “Check out my new website…”).  Your account will be reviewed and possibly terminated without further notice if you try to sell anything, INCLUDING PETS!   Absolutely NO PET SALES! This is for adoptions for pets who have lost their homes…. not for breeders lookin’ for a money-making buck. No pets under 8 weeks can be posted unless accompanied by their MOM for adoption as a family. We do NOT favor any rescue who pulls puppies from a shelter to make a buck,, leaving their Mom behind to die, and it will not be tolerated on this site.
