They are still collecting material as of 1/20/12 and going over submissions with their legal department before airing report. It may not be too late to share your information. Email it directly to address above. Thanks :)

via Christy Chapman from the FB report... As some of you know, I went to visit Spencer yesterday. He was in isolation where it is quiet and warm, he was tucked in up to his chin in fuzzy blankets. The rescue coordinator there was so kind and shared with me all she knows about him. She felt he was an indoor dog and simply lost his way, that his family is probably out there searching for him, but the founder didn't tell the shelter where he was found, so they were unable to focus on an area to network. He had on a collar, but no tags nor was microchipped. This sweet old guy had trouble standing on his own yesterday for his exam, so instead was held and loved on all day. When I saw him he did not even try to move a paw or an ear, instead he just looked at me and watched my every move with his sweet deep brown eyes. I could tell he was heartbroken, and his body was weak. I was afraid he was going to give up last night, he just had that look in his eyes.. He looks to be around 10. Other than being so skinny, his outward appearance wasn't awful. The shelter sent off blood work to see what else could be ailing him. Let me tell you, this shelter is amazing. They were aware of all of the networkers that had called, and had even made note of one willing to foster. I was the first person to actually visit him and give her my rescue info..and she was going to connect me with the foster. This place cares, they truly do. However, I must now give you "the news". The kind rescue coordinator called me, as promised, as soon as the blood work came back this morning and after the vet had evaluated him again. This morning he could not lift his head to eat, could not move even slightly. The blood work showed he is in full renal failure, has a seperate infection, and an inerior tumor. In the vet's opinion, Spencer is suffering and in pain..and I agree. This morning, they are doing what is best for Spencer, and letting him go to the Bridge. The warm hearted rescue coordinator will be holding him as he passes. Thank you to all that supported him and cared from afar. This shelter now knows to call me whenever they have a Boxer in need. All donations will be refunded this morning. Please say a prayer this morning for Spencer.. I am thankful he spent his last days with caring individuals, cuddled and loved, and not alone on the streets.

Facebook apologizes for mistakenly blocking accounts of animal people and pages! As to our observations, it turns out to be a anti-spam program creating the mess, grabbing organizations' posts as spam and blocking out the accounts of thousands for 15 days at a time.

Those who have written Facebook about their accounts being blocked have received apology responses and have had their ban lifted. Hopefully everyone's account that has been affected will return to business as normal in the coming days.

Note: Some of the "no-kill" shelters listed are actually "kill", but they do TRY not to more than others, and hang on to their pets longer, caring for them medically in the meantime for some.

What is wrong with this world, our legal system, where a person can be responsible for an animal and then starve it - in front of themselves - each day. Each day look at a puppy and not feed it. Each day not give it any food ... why? what is going through that person's head? I can't afford to feed it? Then wouldn't the logic kick in to bring it to a shelter: certainly better than starving it. What does this person think while they enjoy a snack, or drink, or a lunch or breakfast. After all apparently Keisha (the "owner") is not starving. Keisha could not share any of her food with this puppy? Wow .. and for all that painful, sadistic, mean behavior our system decides 1K to 3K with a max if monetary penalty is not paid of 18 months.

And then we sit back as a society and marvel that there our child abusers and / or serial killers.

I guess our legal system has missed that the very beginning of sadistic ill behavior is cruelty to animals.

What an awesome penal system we have. Fantastic! One more step toward failure.
