Marlboro County Animal Shelter – Photos of the nastiness shelter pets need to endure!

This county-run facility is in Bennettsville, South Carolina. These photos depict the horrible conditions in which the pets must live. In efforts to help the animals, the newly formed Humane Society of Marlboro County is attempting to take over the run-down shelters. Something has to be done..... and these photos need to be circulated to the public.

Hope died today. She was loved by those helping her.... but her body couldn't handle the severe abuse received by her now MURDERER Monterion Dionte Davis. The 19-year-old admitted to wrapping a chord around Hope's neck, tying her to a tree, and leaving her to die. Her throat was severed by the time she arrived at the pound, and, although in this video there were positive thoughts for her recovery, she was just too injured to pull through.
Rest in peace, little Hope.... I'm so sorry we weren't 
This sweet honey had been neglected, malnourished and never groomed. The innocence of this magnificent animal had been discarded. How can anyone be so cruel? She's been in pain from her overgrown hooves, and her hair has been pulling at her sore skin with feces matted lumps.
Halo's Haven Rescue has been caring for her for a month now, and we personally thank them for caring so much, and send Bonnie well wishes.
